Ever heard of the magic that is the cauliflower steak? The name might be a little misleading – it only resembles a steak because of its shape (slightly). But it’s a really fun way to eat cauliflower! I love anything grilled, so I absolutely love these marinated cauliflower steaks. They are perfect to have at a barbecue with other veggies or baked potatoes. Scroll down for the recipe!

Instructions
- Remove the leaves off the cauliflower and trim the stem. Slice the cauliflower through the center using a sharp knife, into 2cm steaks, keeping as much intact as possible. I usually manage to get about 2-3 steaks from 1 cauliflower - the rest falls apart (don't worry about that!)
- In a small bowl, whisk the oil, soy sauce, agave syrup and the spices together to make the marinade.
- Brush the steaks with the marinade on both sides.
- Heat a large non-stick grillpan over medium-high heat and carefully place the steaks in the pan. Add the sage leaves if you want so they also become nice and crispy. You can also add the leftover cauliflower florets.
- Sear the cauliflower steaks on both sides for a few minutes until lightly charred.
- Turn the heat down and put a lid on the pan. Cook the steaks for 10-15 more minutes until tender. Make sure they're not too soft (check by carefully sticking a knife in them) and make sure they don't burn. It's best to turn them every so often.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and serve warm with rice, veggies, a green salad or baked potatoes. Enjoy!
