Recipe: Caramelised roasted almonds

Oven-roasted almonds are a fast and easy snack to make yourself and they are much healthier than store-bought roasted almonds. I know raw nuts aren’t cheap, so I don’t eat them too often (every once in a while). They are a great, healthy snack. These caramelised almonds are sweet and delicious and making them is super easy!   1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In the microwave or a small saucepan warm the coconut oil together with the maple syrup so that it liquefies and pour over the almonds.
  3. Add vanilla essence and cinnamon and mix so that all the almonds are covered well.
  4. Spread the almonds onto a baking tray with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes and watch the almonds closely to that they don't burn. Shake every once in a while.
  6. Once they're done, remove the almonds from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt while they're still warm. Leave to cool and eat right away or store the almonds in an airtight container.
